IAS classes

Since the past few days, I have been attending a coaching class for the preparation of one of the most, or rather the most coveted jobs in india - The Indian Administrative Services. I always had a feeling in my mind that I can learn new things very quickly and I know at least a little of every thing in this world. But believe me, it didn't took much time to get the glass broken and all confidence spilled out. When did Chandragupta Maurya rule India and how many foriegn ambassadors visited His court and how many years they lived- these alll were the topics on which the first day class was concentrated. It was a history class.

I had joined the classes a few days later than the start of the batch and so lagged a few topics. Just a few months back,I was in the electronics lab getting frustated in between the LEDs and the non-working compnents of the entire lab. And now I am here with non-working components of mine memory cells.

Next class, immediately after History, started the human anatomy and all the aspects of human reproduction system, nervous system, skeltal system and the blood groups were taught within 2 hours. And don't go over the words Two hours : It was worthy of a detailed whole day lecture.

The very thing is that there is really no limit to what an IAS officer knows. He has in depth contribution in medical, economical, social, technical and all those aspects of life and society that you can imagine of. Not elongating much, What I feel now is that I should end this right here and start mugging up the day history. Good Bye for now.

Enjoy :)

Freshers to Farewell

That was also a time when we had to take permission to enter in the college , and now is the time when we are forced to leave the college. The farewell party is now over, it's time to say good bye.

I remember my past days when we all were new to each other and it took many days to remember even the faces, forget about names. And when some new Friends came in life , life seemed to be such a fun.The hunt for reasons as to why got late in class , reasons for why last minute assignment submission. Everything appeared to be a counterpart of one or the other reason.

Really missing those days. The farewell party had a movie show in which photographs were collected by the juniors, of our various moments in college and truly, by the ned of the show, I too felt that we all are going to miss something or the other in the college. Niether this time will come back nor such time will ever be encountered in future, What is passed is now a past and can't be traced back.

Personally, I will remember my last year of the college. It was a year that had a lot in store for me. To be true, that year makes everyone involved in controversies, fights and everything. And just like any college buddy of mine , I was also involved in all these stuffs. The fights, the bunks and all the things finally leading to a job. I had not dreamt of anything more than this from life. I got my three years wastage of college life compensated. At the start of the final year there was a feeling that there is nothing to be remembered of the college time , but this single year changed the way I lived. I will be missing the competitive environment that was getting developed in the college for excellence other than highest marks in exams. It was a competition in practical application of what we learn in classes. I will miss all the friends of mine who had the tendency towars the tech-fests as that is something I liked the most.
Miss u all friends........

I am really gonna miss this place
I am gonna miss my college dayzzzzzz

Gandhi - Did He really exist any time ? I doubt...

"Generations to come, it may well be, will scarce believe that such a man as this one ever in flesh and blood walked upon this Earth
."

Statement on the occasion of
Gandhi's 70th birthday (1939)

I don't know of you , but for myself , I am helpless. For me , anyone of the name Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is just as imaginabile as the mythological characters of any religion . We personify such people on the basis of thier description given in the books which in turn are the reflections of the mindset of the authors. We have the complete epic Ramayana , which describes the character of Sri Ram as the ideal man.In the way of these descriptions , certain incriptions are there to define the expected behaviour of how an ideal world ahould be.Now how is all these stuffs related to the topic ???

The underlying explanation is in fact a question. Have we stated and broadcasted the Gandhian principles in the same way as they were in the mind of the originator. There have been several approaches to the meanings of those principles. There have been numerous books, magazine articles , movies and God knows what-what over this Gandhigiri. Everyone has added His/Her own intellectual in defining these principles. They all are an appreciable effort. But much in the same way that the mythological characters are not acceptable to our minds, such principles also become out of human acceptance - or in better terms , the situational acceptence. At least in the current scenario of the world,it becomes really very tough to belive that such actions took place in anytime of the history. It can never be a single platform effort in the society to make such things possible. We have to make seriously large scale efforts for developing a society which the Gandhian principles dreamt of , and such a sytem's existence would only had made the principles come true. That is the thing that's going out of the brain.

How come he achieved all that ? Did he really achieve that ? If such things had ever ever been in action , why we are so exhausted in making efforts for achieving it ? Either they were wrong who described such things , or we are wrong in making the efforts.People who have seen Gandhi , they are stillalive , so the former one is obviously true that Gandhiji lived , He existed once. Now  what becomes the second obvious thing is that , we are wrong.

Just making movies , or writing articles or posting on blogs ( like me ) will not do the thing. We will have to be honest with our individual efforts. We will have to have the feeling that when He can , why not I ? I f we get frustated with the system , there are many examples who have revolted against it. Now when we can revolt for a personal cause , why not we may revolt for a social cause too . When it comes on ourself , we can cross any boundaries . Why those boundaries become so strong in social cause where the opposite should have occured. Anyone can do it anytime .Think of ittttt .

Regionalism

All the others whether majority or minority who cannot compete and win, they create silly causes such as Regionalism, Religionalism and casteism.”

Charles Darwin (The theory of evolution).

Globalism is out, regionalism is in, despite a bad rap from some pragmatists who say it could lead to a world of hostile trade blocs. On the other hand, it might just be a needed source of dynamism that can further economic integration. Like "globalization" in the 1980s, "regionalism" has become the buzzword of the 1990s. But regionalism is a term that is overused and widely misunderstood.

Almost anyone who writes or talks about business today has something to say about how we are lurching, drifting, or dashing toward regionalism. Globalization, although no one could define it, was generally regarded as positive. But views on regionalism are much more divided. Some say regionalism results in the fragmentation of markets and countries, that it arises from resurgent tribalism and leads to a world of hostile trade blocs. Others, however, argue that regional trading arrangements, such as the Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement or the North American Free Trade Agreement, are a desperately needed source of dynamism in today's global economy, and that inhibitions to further economic integration can best be overcome at regional levels.

Is regionalism good or bad ?

As Humpty Dumpty said in "Through the Looking-Glass," "When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean--neither more nor less." The answer depends on what we mean by regionalism. Regionalism if is healthy then it could start a competition that would fuel development. But the underline is that competition needs to be healthy. E.g. If New Delhi can switch to clean fuel and control pollution then the question arises, 'Why not my city?'. If worked systematically more cities can be cleaner. Regionalism doesn’t mean only to divide the states and cities into boundaries of common interests and personal means.

If we talk of our own nation , the formation of states along linguistic and ethnic lines has occurred in India in numerous instances since independence in 1947. There have been demands, however, to form units within states based not only along linguistic, ethnic, and religious lines but also, in some cases, on a feeling of the distinctness of a geographical region and its culture and economic interests. The most volatile movements are those ongoing in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab). How the central government responds to these demands will be an area of scrutiny through the late 1990s and beyond. It is believed by some officials that conceding regional autonomy is less arduous and takes less time and fewer resources than does meeting agitation, violence, and demands for concessions.. For all this we must have strong and sensible center government.

Quoting from a recent news article in Times - “Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's recent outburst against Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan's loyalty towards his native place (Uttar Pradesh) has raised several eyebrows. While it drew strong retaliation by Jaya Bachchan and Amar Singh, many objected to Thackeray's opposition to the celebration of Uttar Bharatiya Diwas and Chhath Puja in Maharashtra. Barely a day after clashes between supporters of Raj Thackeray and Samajwadi Party workers in Mumbai, two unidentified youths threw bottles at Bachchans’ residence in Mumbai.”

Regionalism is an unpleasent feature of our political system.Regionalism arises , when people of a particular region develop intense attachement towards their own region on the cost of national conerns. To develop regional conciousness is not wrong in itself but when such a tendencies give rise to ideas of seperatism from the India Union , it adversely affects the national intrest. A feeling of neglect often causes seperatist feelings . The central government ought to give the adequate attention to all the states and refrain fron interfering in the affairs of the states. In fact the centre should respect the identity of each state and at the same time develop a co-coperative attitude towards them.

My Love....not best , yet true......My true love

Now what can be a true love?? How can you ever say that your love is the best?? Weigh it?? Measure it?? Grade it?? Or just get it published in daily metros??

Of course not…none of them…

It is something that can only be felt and not expressed. It is something to be kept in heart and cherished. Telling your love about your feelings is good, but always counting your love makes it a take and give game sort of thing .The least you grade your love, the best it would be. Who says to give up your life in love, to end up everything to prove your love? I will not. Surely I will not. I wanna live. Live till the natural death. Not because I fear death or I love Life. I wanna live because I wanna my heart live. I wanna alive those feelings and that beautiful face that I have kept safe in my heart. There lives someone in my heart who’s a single sneeze brings coughs to me. Whose single minute going in attempt to sleep makes my whole night sleepless. I wanna live for that. My love. Maybe not best, yet my true love.

Some of you may be feeling that these lines are too philosophical and too common. Yes they are. But they are not just to beautify the literature. Search inside yourself. Surely these lines can be copied from anywhere, but what matters is the content (However, I guarantee you that each word is original). You can deny to the world of what you feel, But what about your inner-self . The feelings of your’s. Those feelings of your’s which are forcing you to read because you have someone in your mind while your eyes are just floating through these words. You can oppose my words, but you can never oppose yourself, your inner self, your heart.

Love is not just to hang out with , roam about the roads , through the parks ,dinners , late night parties or those heavy bills and pages of call details coming from telephone department and all call at same number , as though you forgot how to make new 10 digit numbers out of the known numerals.

Feel the love. True love is that which makes you smile on remembering your past. True love never makes you cry, no matter since how long you have not seen each other or even heard the voice of your love. That same voice for which you used to go away on terrace at nights, for which you saved them by the false names of your gender. The voice which made the watch click-click a disturbing noise. The late night telephonic talks which would make others wake up and thereafter, the full use of those cheap sms packs until you went into their dreams and your parents only took the handsets from your hand in morning when you were still deep in sleep.

That is true love friend. True love should not expect lifelong travel. A little walk and happily bidding bye can be the best love if that is for the happiness of your love. A little of care , A little of emotion – allz that . Thinkk of ittt…..

I have passed through that phase of life ….. and I still remember her ……..She is still in my heart ……though we havn't met since a long time , yet I can see her everywhere , in evry feminine face......

Aal izz well.....did we get the correct meaning of it ??

All izz well ……. All izz well……..one more in the series of many , so called inspirational lines , to define the situations when you are not able to say Jai ho . Both of the punch lines were intended to give confidence that Yesss , I can . Jai Ho succeeded , but I doubt the correct usage of Aal izz well.

The movie , the origin of this pain reliever Aal izz well , has described the case when you are not able to perform well in your examinations . It emphasizes the fact that you should not chase the success to such an extent that you may fall off your track or get deviated from it . This is something that must be understood by all. The teachers , The parents , The students – all of them. Whatever field of life you are in , it’s applicable to all of them .You may be considering that field to be the best one , the one without which you or your relative find themselves unable to recall your identity .

But just think of the other aspect and see deeply into the case , was world not there before anyone had first pioneered into that field . Were people not living ? Were they not able to live a worthy life ? Is everyone in this universe doing the same thing ? Or people present in other field are living without fooding , housing and clothing ?

No, undoubtedly NO. None of the fields is best. What make them seem best are the people involved in it. The dedication they give to it. This dedication comes from the interest they have in it and it a natural gift. Interests can never be created by force. That is one of the basic theme of the movie. It took engineering studies as an example which is the most desired position for parents.

My child would become an engineer”…….what’s that ???  Whether She/he is capable or not to understand the difference between Sine theta and Sine wave , but nay , He will be an engineer only . Whether She/he understands the difference between head and brain , but no , Doctors are the best. Get rid of this thought and concentrate on improving the things that you are capable of.

And what is this Aal izz well

Since the movie came , I have heard a lot from my student friends that “Just chill !! Aal izz well !! What if you are not getting good marks . Engineering is not what you are made for . You must improve you hobby and these ups and downs do occur in life.
That is absolutely not correct. This is just an excuse to free oneself from studies and exams. The funda of this slogan is very simple. It just says – whatever you are doing , do it , but in case you are not enjoying it , don’t get frustrated . I repeat – Don’t get frustrated . Remember the two words that the suicide commiting student had written on the wall of his room ??

“”I Quit””

Now recall what the lead character had told his photographer friend in relation to ending up life . I will help you in that brain exercise – “Whenever you feel to end up your life , just once think of the smiles of your parent who want to see their child” . You were not an engineer by birth . They took care of you when you were just a brand new product in this world and earned zero , rather consumed millions .

So , just try what you can , but never get frustrated with what you have not achieved .That is what this slogan actually says .Think of ittt

I am Indian.........just think of it.

A foreigner visited India and on returning back to His home , An Indian firend of His’ went to know the experience of His friend in India.

How did you find my home ??
The pride was clear on His face.

The foreigner replied ::
It is a great country with solid ancient history and immensely rich with natural resources.

The Indian asked ::

How did you find the Indians ….??

And then the reply was ::
Indiansssss…..????
What Indianssss……????
I have not met any Indian.

The answer was a bit surprising and frustrating.

Are you in your senses ???
How can It be that you travelled India without meeting any
Indian ???

Yes my friend . I am in my senses.
I met a Kashmiri in Kashmir.
A Bihari in Bihar.
A Punjabi in Punjab.
But no one told that He/She is Indian.

Then I met a Muslim , Hindu , Christian and a Sikh.

But not an Indian my friend.

I met common man , MP , MLA , Democrat , Beaurocrat , all.

But not an Indian my friend.

Just think how serious a joke it is……
It will not be a far away day when we will be just a collection of states and not a nation.
A collection of leaves which can be easily plicked away and not a tree which is bounded to the roots.

Nothing more to say.

I am an Indian first.

You be my family member first.

always say – I am an Indian.

Jai Hind
